Jesse & Coyotes rides from Vaasa FinlandWest Coast and Ostrobothnian regionwhere “the sea is near and fields like inTexas” – they say! Jesse & Coyotes sprung originally from Mike Matthews Band. Mike, born in Boonville (Indianapolis),was living and working in Vaasa in 2005-2006 and music came with him - easy tounderstand as he was born into the cradleof bluegrass. Mike and Jesse (now leadsinger in the band) got to know eachother when making a few demos, mainlytheir own songwriter style music, but inDecember 2005 they gathered some musicians living in Vaasa for a studiosession. The session was the start for the band Coyotes and the songs from the session are still included in the band’srepertoire. Coyotes goes on with Jesse, the only "somehow cowboy"on Finland’s West Coast.Jesse & Coyotes’ music is mainly of the trad/country/country-rock - the music and style what we used to know years back and which people still easily recall. Band members are known for many other groups in Ostrobothnian region and have very wide background of all sorts of music and we hope that can be heard on a live playing - just wait for a Coyotes call!
